Wallace Negão is a Brazilian singer, musician, and the leader of samba fusion – a sound he defined by mixing together traditional samba elements with jazz, soul, and other world music stylings. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Wallace was exposed to the music of his region from an early age. Thanks to his soulful voice and the virtuosity of his cavaquinho playing, Wallace has been able to perform on many international stages, opening for such artists as Ivete Sangalo, Fundo de Quintal, Revelação, Os Travessos, Sorriso Maroto, Grupo Pixote, Os Morenos, Sociedade do Samba, Ki Prazer and Asa de Águia. Last year his single release Ma Cherie Amour, a Portuguese cover of the Stevie Wonder classic, opened the door for him to begin performing in the United States (Brazilian Day Santa Barbara 2024; Hotel Ziggy – Los Angeles). Currently residing in France, Wallace is destined to leave his mark on international audiences with his original sound – Samba Fusion.

TAMBOR FALOU – written by Wallace Negão & percussionist/ songwriter Sergio Bacalhau honors the vibrant tapestry of Brazilian culture by merging the rhythmic spirit of traditional samba with the emotive elements of jazz and soul music. This fusion not only honors Brazil’s musical heritage but also showcases how diverse genres can come together to form a unique identity. By incorporating these elements, Wallace invites listeners on a journey that transcends borders, uniting people through the universal language of music. Lyrically the song celebrates the Brazilian martial art Capoeira, that incorporates elements of dance, music, acrobatics, and spirituality.
TAMBOR FALOU was produced, arranged, and mixed by rising American music producer and composer Dani Mendez with featured horn arrangements by trumpeter and composer João Lenhari.
